Co-Founders Adam Koven and Derek Jaeger are extremely passionate about food and absolutely addicted to cookies. They are committed to changing the perception of the traditional cookie, and to opening a whole new range of flavors and varieties of cookies to their customers. The dream of creating a cookie store that allows customers to fully customize their cookie creations began in 2006, when Adam found himself wondering why there was not somewhere he could get a hot, fresh-out-of the oven cookie. In 2007, Adam and his teammates in the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona developed the concept of building a store that served customized cookies straight from the oven.

During the spring of 2008, Adam and Derek found themselves cooking a lavish dinner for their friends, when the cookies came up. Derek and Adam began bouncing new, radical ideas for cookie flavors off of each other, and the next day the two were hard at work in the kitchen experimenting and testing out their unique creations. The new flavors of dough, mix-in options, and fanatical cookie combinations continue to flow in their kitchens.
